The Future Rhythm of Energy Supply

This year’s ProCom Energy Market Conference with its topic “The Future Rhythm of Energy Supply” was a big highlight in the industry. Again, the nhow Music and Lifestyle Hotel has been an excellent and important choice for the conference topic. After this event, the energy experts can feel the rhythm of energy supply to give future sounds for the industry.

Stefan Sagmeister – Chief Editor of Energy & Management who moderated during the conference says: “… You are at the right place here at the conference to get insights into the energy industry.”

Three days of intense and in-depth discussion with issues and trends about automation, electrification, digitization and climate protection were planned. Dr. Max Scheidt, Managing Director of ProCom, says: ”The energy industry has to face itself with constantly changing conditions since 2 decades.”

On the first conference day, the participants were invited to the solution laboratory to react on current questions and demands. Lothar Stein, Head of Business Unit Energy, noticed participants from 59 companies and 14 nations along the equator: Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, UK, Czech Republic, Poland, El Salvador, Spain, Argentina, China and Israel.

The User Meeting and Partner Workshop, both scheduled on the day before the conference, were organized for customers and partners to get in touch with each other and to exchange experience. All participants appreciated this completely new concept within the energy market conference. More than 12 partners were able to create new ideas and practical examples as well as listen to success stories of the companies Hakom, XCharge, Büro F and Dror Bar-Lev Consulting.

At the user meeting in the morning there were lectures about current projects and software solutions of ProCom. In the afternoon, three practical users presented their business models and experiences with the implementation of a ProCom software solution: MVV Trading GmbH, EWE Vertrieb GmbH and Stadtwerke Lübeck GmbH.

On the second day of the conference we went deeper into the matter. Prof. Dr. Gunter Dueck opened the conference in his unique way with the topic digitalization, Dr. Jonas Lohmann from Waydo spoke about mobility. After a short coffee break with refreshing snacks, the participants split up and heard about new business models and business model innovations.

The audience was informed and inspired by Dr. Jörg Strese from Carbon-Clean, Dennis Nasrun from Baringa Partners and Samuel Kiefer from Kiefermedia. The participants were for example able to get information about Blockchain Technology. The speakers included Sara Mamel from DENA GmbH, Dr. Carmen Schneider from Chatham und Partner as well as Product Manager Consulting and Chairman of the Blockchain Initiative Energy (BCI-E) Dipl.-Ing. Richard Plum from ProCom.

After a day full of valuable context and topics the day had to end with a pleasant evening event.The participants were treated with good wine, music and food during their steamboat trip through Berlin. This atmosphere gave a good opportunity for all participants to network and find new connections.

The trip took its way through the government district of Berlin, which invited everyone to get to know Berlin from a different perspective. This inspiring event showed everyone, that ProCom knows the right rhythm for the energy industry.

On the third day of the conference, Jerry de Leeuw – Entrima, Daniela Kröpelin – HanseWerk AG, ViliamGràcz – Amper Market and Dr. Bastian Baumgart – EnergyCortex excited the audience with fascinating and interesting topics and speeches.

The spirit and flair of the event was all around for a long time. This event demonstrated again, how future oriented topics can be combined with good mood, networking and new business models. Gianni Aperto, member of the Advisory Board of ProCom, found a good statement for this event: “It was a place to listen to excellent speeches filled with good ideas and exciting topics.”

Gustavo Chavez Diaz, President of the Energy Trading Company from El Salvador, was grateful for the good times in Berlin. He was the one, travelling the longest destination to be part of the conference. His journey was about 5.000 km of a one-way flight. His special statement for the conference was: In his opinion, ProCom is leading in energy concepts. He looks forward using the software in Mexico.
